- 10-15 Young squash or pumpkin leaves, deveined , washed and cut by hand
- 3 Cups water
- A pinch of baking soda
- A large wooden or Bamboo spoon
- Salt if desired
Instruction
- Bring water to a boil in a deep and not so large pot
- Add the squash or pumpkin leaves
- DO NOT STIR
- Press the leaves dawn with spoon to make sure they are sunk in the water
- Add baking soda, it will bubble and rise up
- Press the leaves down again , and a gain
- Stir gently till the leaves are soft and still green.
- Add salt if desired. Serve hot or warm.
